1) Entry fee $40. This is an open Contest. All ages and skill levels, and amateur thru pro status are welcome. Optional: Youth Division ONLY entry fee $20 (age 12 and under at time of contest). Any youth who enters the regular contest, but does not place for a cash prize will automatically be entered in the youth division. Every youth will receive a gift/prize. On regular contest entries, to qualify for Youth division, please note “youth” on your entry form.
2) Friday Pre fish hours 6:00 a.m. ET – 9 p.m. ET. Fishing may begin at sun up. You may fish the pre-fish day before paying your entry fee, however, your fee must be paid by 9 p.m. on Friday to be eligible for the cash pre-fish prize. Both regular and youth contestants are eligible for the pre-fish award.
3) All Fish must be fresh caught & alive at registration, for both the pre-fish the Saturday Tournament. Bring a pail to the lake for transporting your catch in water. Dead fish will not be accepted! We reserve the right to turn away any questionable entry, so get them in fresh! Be prepared to have your photo taken with your fish when you bring it in.
4) Contending fish may be registered only once. Qualifying fish will be tagged and held by AJ’s until the end of contest.
5) Autopsy may be performed to confirm winners.
6) Only one cash prize per entrant, excluding pre-fish award. If you qualify for 2 cash awards,we will choose the larger of the two awards. The other will be given to the next qualifying entry.
7) Winners will be determined by weight and length. In the event of a tie, the first weighed-in will be the winner.
7) AJ’s Lodge and Oven reserves the right to investigate and contest any entry.
8) Anyone caught breaking the rules will be disqualified and forfeits all contest privileges. Any adult caught breaking the rules of the Youth contest may be banned from all future tournaments. Please help to teach our youth good sportsmanship!
9) Michigan fishing regulations apply. Tribal contestants will temporarily suspend their tribal privileges and abide by regular state regulations for the purposes of this contest.
10) Saturday: AJ’s will open at 6 a.m.EST Contest hours are from daybreak until 5 p.m. ET. Fish must be registered at AJ’s BY 5 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. CT. Prizes and tournament party will follow immediately.
Weigh-ins will take place at AJ’s until 5:00 p.m. ET. No late weigh-ins!
Total cash prizes $5125 plus door prizes, trophies and ribbons, food and beverages.
PRIZES: Walleye: 1st = $1000 + Trophy 2nd = $500 + Trophy 3rd = $250 + Trophy
Perch: 1st $500 2nd: $300 Northern: 1st $300 2nd: $150
Biggest Crappie = $100
Friday Pre fish walleye = $100
Youth Division 1st Place = $100 + Ribbon 2nd Place = $50 + Ribbon 3rd Place = $25 + Ribbon
Cash prizes will be awarded, providing there is at least one qualifying entry in the class.
GRAND PRIZE: (To be announced) When paying entry fee you will receive a Grand Prize ticket for the prize drum. Drawing will be held after all awards.
DOOR PRIZES: Participants will spin the prize wheel at the time you register. Prize selections on the wheel will be: 1) donated prize, which will be a prize donated by an individual or business. 2) AJ’s Bucks (in varying amounts) redeemable for or toward all food, lodging or merchandise.

Pre-fish Friday, fresh caught, live walleye can be entered at AJ’s until 9 p.m. ET. If you have not already entered the Tournament, you must register when you bring in your pre-fish entry in order for the perch to qualify for the pre-fish award.
Saturday: Registration will take place at AJ’s until 10 a.m. on Saturday May 18 (by 9 p.m. Friday to be considered for pre-fish contest).
6 a.m. ET AJ’s opens. Fishing may begin at sun-up.
10 a.m. ET Ticket sales close (Late arrivals will be allowed, if entry is secured by phone with credit or debit card, before 10 a.m. However, prize wheel will be taken down at 10 a.m.)
Saturday- up till 5 p.m. ET (4 p.m. CT) Bring your live perch, walleyes, Northern Pike, Crappie, and Sucker entries to AJ’s for registration.
Once final calculations are completed and re-checked, Cash Prizes, trophies, and ribbons, will be awarded, followed by Grand Prize drawing.
TO REGISTER Register in person at AJ’s Lodge during business hours, between noon and 9 p.m. daily. You may have your representative register for you, and spin the prize wheel.
We need your: NAME and PHONE # . If you will be 12 years of age or younger at the time of the contest, please include the word “youth” with your registration. There is no additional fee to be included in the youth divisions, if you have entered the regular contest.
