Directions
From Lower Michigan: Mackinaw Bridge 4 ½ to 5 hours. At Engadine take 117 North until you reach M-28 junction. Turn left on M-28 going west, stay on M-28 until you reach the WL one mile west of Bergland on the left side of the road. We look like a small roadside motel – but we are built on a lakefront hillside.
From Minnesota: if coming from Duluth (2 ½ – 3 hours): Stay on US 2 East to Wakefield. There is one light in Wakefield and turn left (east) at that light onto M-28. Go 19 miles and we are ont the right side of the road. If you go into Bergland, you have gone 1 mile too far.
From Wisconsin: on 51/39, follow 51 just past Minocqua and turn at highway M (Toward Boulder Junction). Follow Highway M to Highway B. Highway B turns into 64 once you cross from Wisconsin into Michigan. Follow Highway 64 through Marenisco to US 2. Continue 64 North along the West shore of Lake Gogebic and you will come to M28. Turn right and AJ’s Walleye Lodge is 3.5 miles on the right. .
